Brown Butter Pistachio Salad Toppers

Buttery, salty, pistachios with a little heat and a kissof sweet are the perfect salad toppers! They’re also pretty ridiculously delicious as a snack while just marathoning something under a fluffy blanket.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon salted butter
  • 2 teaspoons dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1/2 cup pistachios

Instructions

  • Heat butter, brown sugar, and cayenne in a small frying panover medium heat.
  • When the butter is melted but not foaming, add the pistachios to the pan and stir well for 2 minutes.
  • Drain on paper towels.
  • Serve on your favorite green salad, hopefully with blue cheese, onions, and a lemon vinaigrette!
